Having been exposed to art at a very early age by my grandmother, I had the opportunity to find my favorite medium very early in my artistic journey. Graphite and charcoal realism art has always been the one style and medium I studied, worked and always wished to master.

I enjoyed it as a hobby and took art classes both in and out of school throughout my teens and at the same time gained a fortune of valuable knowledge from my grandmother who was an art teacher and is an oil painter to this day. I have always been very passionate and drawn to art, however, a

career in an artistic field was never the plan nor was it ever expected.

The introduction to tattooing came in 2012, I had no experience or knowledge of it and there was not much of an interest in it specifically, but more towards having art be a part of my life in any way possible. Naturally, my love for realistic drawing instantly translated to the interest in black and grey tattooing, seeing and discovering the best black and grey tattoo artists and art in the world made that lack of interest grow into a true love for the craft, not only as an artist but also as a tattoo collector myself with over 350 hours of work in my personal tattoo collection. Now currently in the 12th year of my career, I feel I’ve truly found my niche and specialty in realism and surrealism black and grey tattooing. I continue to learn and grow with each year and project I complete and with every tattoo I personally collect.

Black Pines is the result of that journey, I work and aspire to provide a space in which I myself would feel comfortable getting tattooed in. An inspiring and energetic space to create. A brand which represents not only me but anyone who loves and respects the craft and beauty of tattooing and art. Unlike the uncertainty and lack of motivation early in my life, I now continue to have a vision and the drive to pour into my career and each part of it. Like a pine tree, unchanged as the seasons pass, that drive and dream are unchanged with the passing of time and are fueled with each turn of the journey.
