Getting tattooed by Lyndsay Ellsworth

The following is a guideline on the process
and details of beginning a project with Lyndsay

Getting an Appointment

Lyndsay solely books through an online request form that is provided at the bottom of this page and follows a project-approval system when reviewing submissions. Once a request form has been filled out and the project has been chosen, all communication is done via email/text. It’s very important to make sure you are thorough in explaining clear specifics about your ideas and providing the necessary information/reference pictures when filling out this form so that Lyndsay can assess your project thoroughly and so that this process can run smoothly.

Timelines of Projects

Depending on Lyndsay’s schedule and current projects, the wait time for a session could be roughly 1 - 2 months. Once you have your first session with Lyndsay, booking follow up sessions is much easier and quicker. Lyndsay’s available dates are typically Tuesday - Saturday only.

Knowing how many sessions you need for a project is not something Lyndsay can answer or guarantee, every project is different based on many factors. The number of sessions to complete a piece is up to Jessica and not the client, she will tattoo based on what size and what image reference looks best on the body and will age well. On this info page we will provide some examples of how long it takes to do certain pieces.

Designs

Due to a busy schedule, in order to stay on track and be efficient with her time, no designs or drawings are sent before your appointment. Lyndsay will design the tattoo to look and fit the best on your body based and inspired by your vision and ideas. On the day of your appointment, she will show you a digital mock up and go over the design with you where any adjustments can be made at that time if necessary, then she would agree on sizing and exact placement with you and give you a final quote before starting the session.

Pricing

Lyndsay typically works by half day or full day sessions that are determined by the amount of time it would take her to complete a project based on the design elements, size/location of the tattoo, and the quality of detail the design will have. It’s important to note that Lyndsay’s style of work that she specializes can be a time-consuming style and while we try our best to estimate the accurate amount of sessions needed for a project, there is a possibility that she would require less or more sessions to complete a project. Now, some smaller projects might not be priced at these flat rates but this can at least give you a rough idea on Lyndsay’s process/pricing.

Depending on design and the plan for the day, stenciling and set up may take 1-2 hours.

  • A half day session, which is usually for smaller projects or to complete what’s left of one, consists of roughly 3-4 hours of tattooing and is priced at a flat rate of $600.

  • A full day session consists of roughly 6-8 hours of tattooing just depending on the plan/design for that session and is priced at a flat rate of $1200.

The remaining balance is due at the end of the session and can be paid in the form of cash or credit/debit card. If your tattoo needs more sessions to finish, the same rate/deposit will apply to those sessions, and so on for any additional sessions needed to complete a project or start a new one.

We hope this page helps understand the process and what it entails a little better. If you feel this process is correct for you feel free to fill out the appointment request form, thank you.
