How to request an appointment:

Before filling out an appointment request form please take the time to read the following:

Only black and grey requests are accepted and done by Quin.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we first respond to those projects that are chosen and taken by Quin, this step could take 2-3 days. For the projects that aren’t selected right away, we will respond with additional questions to try and find an alternative to your idea that better fits Quin’s style and interest in tattooing, this process may take up to two weeks. Unfortunately, not every request may get a reply. If you do not receive a reply to your request in this timeline, we ask that you do not take this as an opposition on our part to your idea. Every story sent to us is important and we understand it is to you also, the meaning behind your tattoo is something we take seriously, just as any artist should who approaches any tattoo. Unfortunately it is just not a possibility for Quin to tattoo anymore than he does now, fulfilling all tattoo requests by one single artist regardless of who that may be is just not possible or realistic. In addition, Quin wants to be fully committed to each and every piece he does, and for this to be possible it isn’t about best or worst ideas, it is just a creative process of choosing in which Quin chooses what type of art he finds himself inspired to do each time he opens his books to new requests. Art is forever evolving and with it, Quin’s career goes through changes as well, including his inspiration and commitment to different subjects and themes of tattoos he does. Therefore, if you do not receive a reply to your email, we encourage you to try again in the future.

To improve the possibility of getting tattooed by Quin, make sure to read and answer each area of your appointment request form carefully. Remember to provide the necessary information for us to review your request. A good tip for filling out the form is to not focus on the length of your responses but instead making sure you are thorough in explaining clear specifics about your ideas.

The placement of your tattoo doesn’t have to be exact, just be specific. If you say sleeve, we will assume it is wrist to shoulder. If you want an upper back tattoo, say upper back tattoo or shoulder blade, if you only say back piece we assume you want your whole back tattooed. Please provide a photo, or photos, taken by someone else of the area you would like tattooed. It is best if you are standing in a relaxed position to photograph most areas of the body. If the area is bicep or forearm, simply hold your arm out and have them take a photo of the area. Selfies and mirror photos make it difficult for Quin to see the approximate size of the body part and makes it harder to design on that picture of the body. Please keep in mind if there is no photo of the area to be tattooed the chances of getting a reply are slim.

Both large scale and small one-session tattoos are welcome, wanting a bigger project doesn’t improve or influence his choosing of projects. Regardless of size, all of Quin’s work will have the same dedication and go through the same process, thus making your one session tattoo or multiple session project the same each time you get tattooed in terms of time, day-rate pricing, preparation, etc.

Black Pines Gallery is located in Texarkana, TX. Quin’s schedule consists of Monday-Fridays, with very few Saturdays available. It’s best to try and make time for your tattoo from M-F. No Sunday bookings. All appointments begin at 12 pm unless a different time is agreed on. If you live too far to drive and are flying into Texarkana, or any other airport (we have three others that are commonly used - Dallas DFW, Little Rock AR, Shreveport LA), we ask that you plan your trip to arrive the day before your appointment, and leave the day after so that there will be no time constraints, and so that you can rest after a session as it is a very long and tiring process.

Any questions you may have and further details of the tattooing process such as day-of preparations, what to expect, address, pricing, etc., will be provided in the first e-mail once your request has been approved.

We thank you for your interest in Quin’s work and for your support!
